iCam Pro Support / Some setup difficulties
« on: December 11, 2017, 05:08:07 PM »
Hi,

I have used icam before; I had the source installed on a windows laptop and the icam on my android phone. That worked very nice!

Today, I have used android phones that I want to install the icam source on and still view on another android phone with icam.

So I searched on the play store and can only find icam or icam pro. I type in icam source mobile and it goes to icam. Where do I find icam source mobile? And btw what is the difference between icam and icam pro?

Hi;

I was wondering if you can use your old cell phone cameras with ipcam. Seems like this would greatly enhance its usage.

Thanks

Hi
I am trying to use an old windows phone to run icam source and I see that you say you do not support the windows phone, my question is if icam source works on a windows pc why doesn't it work on thw windows phone? Doesn't it require just a recompile for the windows phone processor?

iCam Pro Support / support for windows phone
« on: December 10, 2015, 07:37:35 PM »
Hi

I have upgraded my phone and my old phone is a Lumina windows phone, is there support for this phone? I want to use it as a security camera. I looked for icamsource on its play store but it does not show up. If its a windows machine, shouldn't it work? I know its using another microprocessor but the software should be compatible, correct? Please let me know.

Thanks

iCam Support / Re: Troubleshooting 103 - Port Forwarding
« on: May 17, 2012, 04:51:35 PM »
Hi, there

I had this working before but had to reconfigure linksys wrt600n and now I can't get icam to work over 3g network only over wi-fi. I am confused over what to set to static ip, the computer or the router. Tried the router and still not working. I can't follow the port forward guide because the screens don't match the guide. What to I do?

Thanks

Thanks for the reply.
Please keep me informed about and when this feature will be added since it does counteract the purpose of monitoring your house if someone can just turn it off.

iCam Support / Is there a way to lock out icam preferences from users
« on: July 26, 2011, 03:54:12 PM »
Hi,

I have four accounts on my Mac pro and I have installed icam on the startup menu on each to be able to run icam automatically when someone logs in. I don't know if this was the best method but it works. How can I lock out icam so only I can start and stop it.

Thanks

OK,

Now that I have both the netbook and mac versions working, I would like to know how to setup email alerts from motion detected from both. Is it possible? I have email alerts for one now, how do I do the other?

Thanks

iCam Support / can't open icam screen in windows 7
« on: June 13, 2011, 10:17:33 AM »
Hi,

I just bought an inspirion mini netbook running windows 7 and the first time I installed icam i was able to get to the setup screen. Now that its running and I want to check the settings I cannot get to it. I know this is a windows 7 kind of problem but I thought I would ask here how to get to the icam setup screen incase someone has run accross this same thing.

Thanks

I noticed the date on this post as 2010. Has work been done to be able to control pan tilt cameras?

Hi,

I am an iphone and mac user and have been using icam for about a year. It works good, except for the low frame per sec. I haven't really mind it since I just need to know there is movement and video is ok. I think I just need to play around with the settings.

Anyway, now I need to monitor my mother who lives alone. I was thinking of buying a netbook for this purpose. The netbook has a webcam (only 0.3 Mpixels) and windows 7 starter. Has icam been tested with any netbook?

Also, I want to monitor it with my iphone. So I will have two homes to monitor with one iphone and two different types of computers mac and windows ps's.  Is this possible. How do I manage on ihone?

Thanks
