iCam Pro Support / Re: Foscam F19821WB to an F19831P and Avenue 198213

I would truly be a blessing to support the Newer HVAC 2645 scan cameras that I have, it can only get the FI9821W’s to work    Whoever, the user manual say the video format supported both MJ pig and 8.264, but can’t figure out how to get the sub stream to work as an MJPEG stream in the settings and select the sub stream as the one to use for the camera.
However, I would love to be part of your new beta testers when you are ready to implement this new option which would be most welcome, and can give you feedback on the number of bottles from Foscam as to their functionality. I have beta tested for a number of companies especially with difficult software from  various music software, both Audio and Maddie which interacts with numerous types of different manufacturers.

One last follow-up: I spoke with the Foscam people today and while they were not in a position to offer support for software not their own, I got assurances from several people that the MJPEG stream their cameras provide conform to industry standards and that no special handling is necessary for software that supports MJPEG.  Seems to me that that should be all we need to know to be confident that it can be made tow work with iCam/iCam Pro.

Having the same problem with iCam source/iOS iCam and if you found a solution please let me know. And you’re right on page 82 of user manual for F19821W and the user manual for F19831P balls say they support video format H .264 and I am JPEG, so nothing special should be needed at all.
iOS App Store has iCam and iCam pro, but where do you get them back iCamsource for either iCamsource and iCamsource pro  for the Mac OS X ?

Told a two-step instructions left here a few years back my first putting in some type of command in the web browser to get one of the two streams to have these cameras utilize MJ peg video format so can we use with iCamSource, And I successfully did this with 2F19821 WV two cameras, but when I tried to enter the same two steps for the F19821P I lost one of the following two cameras, and still cannot get it back no matter what I do. I even factory reset the camera gave it a new port number  and giving different port number to no avail. I can see the second at 19821WV2 that I entered but no longer the first one. In the user manual for all these cameras they stayed on page 82 that they support both H .264 and and JPEG formats,  so wondering why one would have to do anything to get the cameras to work and I Campell source when entering the data in preferences. I also hear talk of an I can source pro, but she nowhere where one can reliably download this apparently improved version that does more support. I did download a version one and try to update to the current version 1.3 but  always get errors, and I was reluctant to download to begin with is I have no confidence in the sites are used. Only an iOS App Store can you download the apps for an iOS device, but nowhere can I find a reliable place to download the iCamsource which is required to make this all work.
The original post here are several years old and I’m hoping that someone has an answer to get these cameras to work as I have used the system for six years flawlessly with my older F18 918 W series of cameras, but the resolution is so much better on the nor yet not newest cameras; but, they surely are adequate  for my purposes.
Any advice on how to get these cameras to work and I can’t sores and iOS iCam would be much appreciated.
   Best,
Seth

iCamSource Pro does process H.264, I believe...I think he just posted to the wrong forum. iheefz, you should post to the iCam Pro forum, not iCam forum.

Where does one DL iCamSource Pro for the Mac.  I do not see it anywhere; but sites I do not trust and it is version 1.0, although states 1.3; and, when DL for iOS I go v1.0 and said needed update; but got error each time.  In the Pro version something that is supported and still a product of SKJM?  The iOS version is there in Apple’s App store of iOS devices; but nothing for Mac OS X.  What is going on here, as the iCamSource is required to function.
   On p82 for both F19821W v2 & F19821P, both cameras support both H.264 & MJPEG video formats.
Does anyone please have a solution which works to enter into the iCamSource field for the camera under Ethernet/WiFi fields for a camera and then their user name/PW?  I have relied on this app for years now and has worked flawlessly on the older cameras such as F18918.
If anyone has a link or a solution so to use both types of cameras as the same time that would be Awesome Blossom…  It would be the only one I now of where one can see, get alerts, on watch remotely video of alarm/mothion events.
 Best,
Seth

Chris,
I have 2 f19821W v2 & one F19821P, and got both 821W's working; but then lost the first after entering the 1 step, setting one of the streams to MJEP, the sub?.  Will this work with multiple cameras, or just one at a time.  However, I did have both working and showing up in iCam on my iPhone. The proceeded to try to do same with the 'P' version and lost all but one 821W v2.  Have no ideal what I have done to the camera 'chips'.  Can I reset them.  I tried a factory reset and did not work and iCamSource would not show up this camera; but the 2nd clear as a bell.  Very confused and frustrated. How to reset the camera so to start over; and, hopefully and the 2 F19821W v2 working.
 Best,
Seth

iCam Pro Support / Re: Foscam FI9821P and MJPEG stream...

That camera has H.264 video compression and will not work with iCamsource. IP cameras need MJPEG or JPEG video compression to work with iCamsource.

•••I tried the 2 step method described here with 2 F19821W cameras, and got both working in iCamSource in preferences; and both showed up on my iPhone iCam; and, on p 82 of user manual it does say that this camera and F19821P cameras both support H.264 & MJPEG video format.  However, after entering the 2nd camera which had a port# slightly higher the 1st stopped working; but the other works fine still.  Trying to figure what happened here.  Does anyone know what does the entry into the browser field does?  As the return, as described, <CGI_Result> <result>0</result> </CGI_Result>, appears; but, cannot enter any text to the response.  I am not understanding the 2 streams, main & sub that are being changed somehow.  Any suggestions from the rather old forum discussion that would fix?  I was so please to get working only to have one of 3 cameras working now, when all showed up initially.  Not sure what happened.  Does anyone here?
  Best.
Seth

Saw an old msg saying there is an iCamSource Pro forum?  And that this version does support h.264.  However, the manual for both units say that H.264 & MJEP formats are supported, p82 of F19821P User Manual.
  Best,
Seth
