iCam Pro Support / Re: Possible bug in 2.8: Motion Detection Zones
« on: September 17, 2015, 12:00:07 PM »
Been running that test version for 4 hours. Looks great. No passing cars has been detected but detected human walking in desired zone worked as intended.

Did you find a bug in the release version?

iCam Pro Support / Possible bug in 2.8: Motion Detection Zones
« on: September 15, 2015, 11:35:05 AM »
ICAM Version 2.8 (not Pro). I tried them all:

1) Deleted registry tree of HCU\SOFTWARE\SKJM, LLC in regedit32.exe.
2) Tested in both Win 7 64 bit & Win 10 64 bit.
3) Created just one camera with URL of: http://192.168.1.28/video/mjpg.cgi with account infos.
4) Created 3x3 grid size (also 2x2). And disabled them all zones.
5) I always get alerted of passing cars in top view of camera.

The Motion Detection Zones are not working. It is always detected regardless of zone settings. Maybe it has to do with the stretched videos fix recently? (In the past, with small videos, we get black bars on bottom and right side of video boxes).

Very annoyed of passing cars alerting me too much. >:(

iCam Pro Support / Apple Watch Improvements
« on: May 04, 2015, 08:11:56 AM »
Hi,

It looks great! A big improvement for me to monitor home!

Can we ask for one change?

When playing video, it stays wake up at least to two full loops of video playing?

I had to twist my arm often while playing the video otherwise, the watch will sleep. This applies to app and glance. Both will sleep while video is played.

I noticed some other app will stay wake while in it. Maybe there is API from Apple Developer to make this possible?

Possible?

Thanks!

A client app for PC and Mac?

That's great!

Please ask for FPS setting in it. I do run Web based of iCam at work all day at about 1 FPS which is tolerable by IT team at my work for bandwidth needs.

If running at max FPS in the new client, I can't use it at work all day.

Please make this setting in the new client. Thanks!

iCam Pro Support / Re: Reduce 30 secs non moving ending videos?

Detection is fine. Just that when anything has stopped moving, it continues recording for about 30 seconds.

It should stop recording 1 or 2 seconds after movement has stopped like the old iCam Source version.

We are in the same boat.

What I do is to run both iCam and iCamPro on server with similar settings except turning off recordings in iCam.

I only use Pro clients on iPhone/iPad. No need to run old version of clients.

Then use the old way to view cameras like before on web.

Hopefully SKJM can merge two versions into one soon.

Is there a way to let me set how many secs of video that is not moving after moving is detected? It seems to default 30 secs which is way too long.

Regedit maybe?

Any possibility to reuse existing iCam server source code in the consumer's server program. No changes needed on your server end. It would look exactly the same for web browser.

If you want to polish up more for web access, save it for 2.0 release. Provide old access now for web users.

Possible?

I asked the samething few months ago. I ended up running both version of iCam and iCamPro on my server (Windows). But only use iCamPro client on iPhone/iPad. And I use web browser at work which connects to iCam on server. Works pretty good so far. But double CPU stresses (i.e. 4 streams each program). The motion detection and recordings are off in iCam server as it is not needed.

Hopefully there will be iCamWebPro soon.

iCam Pro Support / RESOLVED: iCam Pro on Windows crashs
« on: August 28, 2014, 05:34:25 AM »
PROBLEM: When I start iCamPro on Windows 7, it starts then disappears in few seconds.

WORKAROUND: Rename the iCamSourceProUpdater.exe to something else and run the iCamSourcePro.exe.

BUG: When there is no update list file found (http://skjm.com/icampro/WinUpdates.txt), it crashes the updater program and then the main program. I got the URL from the INI file.

I think I will leave updater off for now (renaming the file) to increase reliability.   >:(

One more thing. All of my cameras are IP and can be shared with two server programs.

Don't think these two program can use USB camera at same time.

iCam Pro Support / RESOLVED: How to have web access on Pro
« on: July 28, 2014, 05:53:37 AM »
As you know from previous topic that there is no web support for Pro version. I found a workaround to have Pro running and have web access at work:

1) Install iCamSource on PC/Mac (not the Pro one but latest 1.x version). Leave the Pro running on computer. There will be icamsource.exe and icamsourcepro.exe on PC running at sametime.

2) In the 1.x version server, turn off motion detection and remove all schedules. They are not needed. The Pro takes care of this for Pro clients. This is just a program to tell the web server of current ports and IP address of streams.

3) Go to http://skjm.com/icam/web/ and log in. Enjoy.

This procedure does not require to have 1.x client on your mobile devices. Just the Pro ones.

The downside is that the CPU will be as twice as stressed. Not an issue of small number of cameras on a powerful CPU.

SKJM developer: Can the revised Pro server "tell" your web server of current streams available. No need to modify web server. Should be easy! If you want web 2.0 later, then update if you like but for now, just have the Pro server tell the web 1.0 server of the streams. Thats all is needed for now. Otherwise, we have to run both 1.x and 2.x servers.  :P

Thanks!

Any timeline so we can plan better?

Thanks!

Hi,

I loved the PRO version for iPhone and iPad. It works great.

BUT... I have been using http://skjm.com/icam/web for monitoring my home at work since there is no app for OS X or Windows. Its not supported for Pro users.

Looks like I have to go back to old iCam version so I can have web access. If I log in this page, I get 0 cameras instead of 4 under Pro server now.

Unless there is a new web page for iCam Pro users that is not announced yet?

iCam Support / Re: iOS8 iCamSource app hangs at login
« on: June 03, 2014, 02:32:16 PM »
It finally works by itself. Might need to wait one hour or so to expire some cache.

Copying preference, restart app, and wait 1 hour seems to be the work around.

Hopefully the developer will have iOS 8 and work with this bug soon.
