iCam Support / About Audio in iphone and android
« on: August 14, 2012, 06:42:58 AM »
In iCamSource for mac ver. 2.5, I see I can activate (or not) Android Audio.

1) If not activated:
I receive audio on my iphone  but NOT on my android tablet.

2) If activated:
I receive audio in both iphone and android.

Why do I have the option to desactivate it? ... when once activated it works for both systems?

thanks

iCam Support / SAVED FILE on PC OK but....
« on: August 13, 2012, 04:00:46 PM »
HEllo,
normally files of motion events are locally stored in PC, and they can also  viewed from iphone.
But when connection with icamsource is lost... and It's impossible to restore it... is there a possibility to see the motion events from iphone?

I mean, if someone enter in my home, and take away my pc... connection would be lost, and I can't see (from Iphone) any file! Or is there a possibility to see them?
I know there is the possibility to send files directly to dropbox... but what about iphone? everything will be lost?

thanks for your help.

iCam Support / working with 3g... and not with WI-FI!!
« on: August 13, 2012, 03:49:03 PM »
hello,
I'll try to explain :

I Installed Icamsource in a Mac in Italy..

1) When my iphone is on the same wi-fi (in Italy): IT WORKS
2) when I connect iphone from Spain (spanish wi-fi): it DOESN'T WORKS

The strange thing is... when I'm on 3G IT WORKS both in italy than in Spain.

The same thing happens when I try to see my cam using ICamWeb: in italy it works, but it doesn't work from Spain.

I have another cam (here in spain) connected to another MAC and it works, using wh-fi, using 3G and using iCamWeb.

So the problem I have is: I cannot see my cam in Italy, from a wi-fi connection in Spain... (and no problems with 3G).

Any clue??

thanks and regards.

My settings are as follow:

Run on:
MAC vers. 10.6.6
Iphone4: ver. 4.2.1

Software:
Icam source: ver. 2.2.1
Icam: ver. 2.0.1

Router:
Opened port forward range: from 12200 to 12300
Forwarded to my Mac internal IP

I can see video if I connect Iphone to wi-fi.
I cannot see any video if iphone is connected with 3G

Could be the iphone version not compatible with Icam software?

Any solution?

Thanks and regards.

« on: September 29, 2010, 02:48:08 PM »
Just few words to thanks SKJM staff for the very good work done with iCam...  a really simple but wonderful app. for iPhone.

- The app. works very well.
- The software for the Mac/Pc is simple but very well done (and it works!!)
- The iCamweb it's another great thing!!!!
- Last but not least... SKJM Support is fast, clear, and useful.

And for just the small cost of the app... we're getting a really good service and support.

Regards,
Vladimiro

PS: Just in case: nope, I'm not SKJM's  employee :-)

iCam Support / Again about 3G connection... (PROBLEM SOLVED)
« on: September 28, 2010, 02:13:10 PM »
First of all sorry for my bad English.
Second... thanks to the guys of skjm for the very nice app.

I've read the forum to find a solution, but I'm afraid I was not able to find it. (I already know that there is another post about 3G connection problems... and i was not sure if i had to continue in that one.... sorry for any inconvenience)

And now my problem...

Some infos about my "gear":

OS: Mac Snow Leopard
Software installed:
 - iCamSource version 2.1.2

Iphone4
app installed
 - icam app.2.2

The problem:
I can't connect on 3G (with internet data)

What I did on the router:
- Port triggers:
Trigger range: Start port & end port 12000, protocol UDP (enabled)
Trigger range: Start port & end port 12100, protocol UDP (enabled)
( I left Target Range start/End=0; is that correct?)
- Forwarding:
I enabled Local IP address of my machine, to start/end port 12000 and 12100.

The result is:
- iCamSource is connected to the server (auto-config Router is disabled)
- I can perfectly see my camera in iPhone (iphone is connected to the same wi-fi)
-  everything works fine.

But... when I disconnect iPhone from wi-fi and I try to see again my camsource, I get the following error message:

"SOURCE CONNECTION ERROR - One or more of the iCamSources returned by the iCam Broker Server could not be connected to"

I also tried to check/uncheck Auto-config router... but no way. I can't connect.

What else can I do now? Any hint?

Thanks for your help.

EDIT:
PROBLEM SOLVED!!!
Finally I've found this post in this same forum... and solved my problem with 3G problems: http://skjm.com/forum/index.php?topic=402.0

Now everything is working: ALSO WITH 3G connection.
