iCam Support / Icam shuts down after a few hours

I have been using icam for almost year now and never had any problems. Now suddenly after I upgraded my mac operating system to El Capitan icam shuts down completed after a few hours. Not sure if the upgrade is related or not. I checked the mac power settings and it is still set not to go to sleep. I can't find anywhere in icam where i can set how long the program stays open for. Appreciate your help. Thanks, Liz
