iCam Pro Support / Not receiving notifications since update iOS/MacOS
« on: April 02, 2018, 01:15:32 PM »
I’ve been using iCamSource Pro since it’s first release, and I’m encountering an issue I’ve never had before. After updating to iOS 11.3 and macOS 10.13.4, I have not received any notifications at all  from iCamSource Pro after it detects motion or sound. I’m seeing in the iCamSource Pro preferences that when something is detected, it is correctly highlighting motion or sound, but something is happening where it’s either not pushing the notifications to my iPad or iPhone or that it IS pushing them, but my iOS devices are not receiving them. I haven’t had any loss of notifications from any other apps. The notifications are missing with both the latest final release of the Mac app, and the current beta, as of today (beta 4, I believe).  It IS recording the video of the motion detections and saving that to my hard drive, so that is not the issue - it’s just the push notifications.  I’ve tried disabling, then reenabling notification in the iOS settings, but that has not helped. All other functionality from the apps are working fine.

iCam Pro Support / H264 support being worked on?
« on: June 26, 2015, 03:30:19 AM »
Hi,

Since it seems like all the higher end cameras will only broadcast in h264 now (at 720p and 960p resolutions) I was wondering if you guys are currently working on h264 support.  I would like the higher quality images, but the only way those newer cameras work with iCam (at least the ones that I've found) require streaming a lower quality image.

I'm also completely open to an 720p - preferably 960p resolution camera recommendations that work with iCam Pro - I'm sure I can't be alone in preferring this.

Thank you for your time.

Using the same settings as iCamSource (and seeing all three cameras in the iOS app), I can see all three of my cameras with iCamSource Pro - it looks like it's working perfectly.  However, I can only see one of the three cameras inside the iCam Pro app on my iPhone 6 and iPad Air, running iOS 8.0.2.  I noticed the last version of the iCam Pro app was released before iOS 8 was released, and I'm wondering if it's just an issue of updating the app?  I love the features, and would love to use it, but I'm unable to.

Thank you for your time.

iCam Support / We need to pay extra now for consistent connections???
« on: September 16, 2013, 03:14:49 PM »
I have been using iCam almost since it was the day it was released, and have never had an issue with connecting.  Now I am consistently seeing error messages about using a proxy server, and either waiting until one is available in order to connect to my home machine (and that option is free, but so far, unreliable), or I can pay for temporary access to a paid, private proxy, and when that runs out, then pay again.

What happened here? I don't see anything about this on the homepage, iTunes description, or FAQ and this seems to be a major change to the way this software works. People will by buying this software not knowing they will need to continue paying to use it.

Please tell me these connections issues are some kind of growing pains or something and that this will all be worked out.  I wanted to find out what's going on here before submitting a revised review on the App Store...

Thank you for your time.

I was wondering if any developers that have been beta testing iOS 7 have used the iCam app successfully?  I've been on the fence about joining Apple's developer program and wanted to install iCam on the latest iOS beta - but not if breaks the iCam...

Thank you in advance.
