Essentially the software that comes with it is not that great, hence the reviews.  Seemed to work fine with the iCam setup for me.  When using this for iCam, you wouldn't be using the included software, I'd have to hunt it down myself to include it as I installed it originally and then uninstalled it.  The only reason I kept the cam was because of this software and site here.  Great app ans service here...

Only reason I'm selling it is it got very little if any use for our purpose.  A sony audio monitor turned out much better, given to us as a shower gift.

This cam was very cool in catching the dog throwing the cat food all over the house.  We could never figure out whether it was the cat or dog as it happened every time we left the house.  I set this cam up wireless with the motion detection enabled and caught her in the act, lol.

Anyway, all I ended up doing was playing with the cam mostly...

I bought this camera last year to use it for a baby monitor.  It's got a wireless usb adapter making it effectively a wireless camera that operates as if it's connected via USB.  This means you easily get sound on your iCam app with it...

Anyhow, perfect condition, just thought I'd mention it here and give someone a chance at it without going through the trouble of Ebay.

It's now $75 at Amazon, but I'll part with it for $55 including shipping.  I paid much more originally. Link at Amazon:

Sorry if this against the rules of the forum, and I understand if you need to pull this down.  Just wanted to give someone a decent deal on a cam that works great with this product.

iCam Support / Wifi Problem, seemingly tried everything...
« on: June 19, 2010, 09:32:37 PM »
Ok, I did have two routers.  Both have Tomato firmware and one was setup as bridged, however i unplugged that one and have only the one router now.

I can connect no problems with 3G.  With Wifi I always get: "One or more of the iCamSources returned by the iCam Broker Server could not be connected to"

I am currently using 1.4.2.6, but have tried 1.4.2.5 as well as the prior two non-beta releases.  1.4.2.6 correctly updated my router for the port forward via upnp and I verified it.

Man, this has gotten frustrating as I'm nowhere near a computer newbie.  I'm about to the point of firing up wireshark, but I'm hoping you guys can help me out.

Grabbing the logs from my router when trying to connect via wifi on my iphone here are the three entries:
Code: [Select]

Looks like to me that is the communications out to your servers?

Works perfectly via 3G, but using this as a monitor for a baby all night on 3G will probably raise some flags on the bandwidth side of things.

Any help is much appreciated.  Just for grins, I tried DD-WRT as well and got the exact same results.

iCam Support / [FEATURE REQUEST] Alert on Audio Detection
« on: March 29, 2010, 01:08:42 PM »
I recently bought iCam to use for baby monitoring.  The motion detection seems to be sensitive enough for this, but what would put this over the top is to be able to push alerts based on sound, i.e. crying in my case.  From a security perspective, this might be helpful too as the camera might not have a view of what's going on, but you could still listen in.

perhaps an option to alert on either motion or sound, perhaps listen/look for both, etc.

Great app you have here, btw.  For anyone who might read this and you want a wireless camera you can use with iCam that has sound... check out the Bambino.  It has a wireless usb dongle, so to your remote PC it's just another USB web cam with audio...
