I am not having problems seeing the icam preferences window in the menu bar.  All that works good. I have the icam app installed for 2 users on the computer and it seems to work for both - but then the app seems to quit itself after some time.

I will get the crash log and send it to skjm if I don't figure it out.

Put black electrical tape over the camera light.

This has been posted before but I don't see how it was resolved. I am using iMac built-in isight camera with OS 10.8.3:

It continually shuts down - sometimes only after a few minutes or an hour. Computer is not going to sleep mode.  I have a second computer that is running icam ok. No crash or time-out issues.

I've updated to the latest version of icamsource

Any thoughts?

Should I just send crashlog report to support?   Thanks.

iCam Support / Is the ecamm BT-1 wireless bluetooth webcam supported?
« on: April 01, 2013, 05:07:44 PM »
For some reason my iMac is not connecting to the BT1 via bluetooth.  So it is not showing on the cameras list in icam preferences.  Has anyone gotten this to work?

Maybe I missed it, but I don't see a list of supported routers.  My Netgear 7550 using AT&T internet does not support UPnP, universal plug and play, so I'm having trouble getting SKJM support to make it work.

My old 2Wire modem worked good.  Please help to organize a list.

I entered the Terminal command.  Went to www.portforward.com
Did not see my router in the Netgear or Westell lists.  I have Model    B90-755025-15

I can't connect via 4g/edge but can connect via WiFi.  Using an ATT Netgear/westell 7550 modem/router - it doesn't have UPnP but does have NAT.  Tried to change setting from Dropped to IP Passthrough and to static NAT. It did see my iphone and the phone ip.  Neither worked to connect via 4g on iPhone 5.

Can someone please tell me if this can be configured, or do I need to change modems?  Or do I need to revert to older iCam software. I'm using icamSource 2.6.  Mar 2013.

Please help.  Thanks.

Have changed to new username pw. Restarted computer. Auto config router and auto start enabled.
There is a message saying "UPnP may not be enabled".  Is this the problem?

Have made sure java is installed. Not sure if this is a manual forward port issue.  Are working with a Macbook Pro over wifi.  Still can't get remote iphone to get feed or remote computer.

You are right - no need to stop icam to access info button.
And we have the 2nd user account set up so it is saving images to the dropbox folder.
But after verifying we have correct username - login, we are unable to see feeds on iphone 5 or on icamweb on the computer for the 2nd account.

We can see feeds from 1st user account when name and pw entered.

Any ideas why?  Internet connection is working. Files are uploading to dropbox.

Now I see.  Seems you have to quit icam app on the computer before you can get the i info button.  Surprised no one else has asked about this.  Thanks.

I know how to change the user name and password in the icamsource prefs on the source computer - but how do I change the iPhone settings?

I am going to have 2 different source computers each with different name/password.  Where are the settings on the iphone?  Thanks.

Why do you think iPhone 5 not supported?  Works perfect with AT&T.

I understand that the iphone has to have the same user-name and password as the source - but I want to change between two different computer clients. I want to alternate between them.  They are unrelated, so I need to change settings on the iPhone 5.

Thanks, from Florida.

I am also getting constant static noise. And poor voice pick up. Are you saying that is not normal? Audio should be very clear? I'm using built in mic on iMac.
