iCam Support / Re: RTSP Streaming support
« on: March 04, 2013, 04:02:22 PM »
Stefan, Your support is incredible!  I donated once again last night as you guys are great!

I completely understand the issue here.  Maybe only support Cams that have the dual stream available?  I am up for that.  This way as you mentioned you can motion detect on the lower bit rate streams and view only for HD.

The last sentence could I get a clarification on?

"That doesn't seem like that is the case, however, if users are unable to use the newer h.264 Foscams with the iCamSource and iCam."  --Kinda of leaves us hanging...

Are you saying that there IS some FOSCAMs H.264 that DO work with iCam now as I was not aware.  I'll buy them if they are (hopefully fully PoE)

Thanks Again!
Rob

SJKM (Stefan),

I second, third and fourth the need for RTSP and H.264 support.  I want to move to HD Cameras as they are getting cheaper, and unfortunately most of the offer MJPEG at lower images, so it really doesnt help.  Maybe using the FF libraries as a possibility here?

Anyway we can move this feature up the ladder as I LOVE The APP, but this is a must for me moving forward in the coming months!

I do support the kitty once in a while, and would be willing to put in $100-200 for this feature.

I am sure others might agree here.(?)

Thanks!

FYI I spent alot of time on the Ubiquity website/forums yesterday and found they do support MJPEG but at a reduced resolution (not HD x720).  So they main pint for me looking itno them was the cheap 1MegPixel cameras, but they dont support the HD MJPEG.  So no use unless they offer more streams.  I am checking into www.a-mtk.com as they offer multiple stream (they say they employ a Tri-coder) and the cameras are low $200 range for 1080P HD (1.3M 2M, 3M pixel versions).  Stay tuned.

Thanks!
I was thinkingmof the motion detection issues and the frames.  Actually I don't care how many frames for motion is detected, but what I DO care about is when I get notified.  So can you change the number of frames detected Before a push notification goes out might be easier to implement and would accomplish the same thing for me.  As I only want to be notified with 3+ frames motions.

Thought I would throw that out there.

iCam Support / Motion Detection and Monthly Donations

Ok, Love the app like everyone else.  Donated but have a few questions:
1. Is the donate a Monthly donation or one time.  I went $.99 since I thought it might be a monthly re-occurring charge.
2. Love the new additions, features.  Is there a forum thread that has a list of Features you are working on? Can you make it a sticky updated?
3. Motion Detection: Love the new Zones feature, but if I could have only 1 feature to implement its motion detection on multiple frames.  The cloud movement thing kills me.  Maybe 3+frames or be able to select the amount?

Thanks Again!

"Third" the request.  this is an Awesome product, and if we could look at anything greater than 4-5 image changes would be huge for me.

Great job!  look forward ot future releases!

Stefan,
Awesome app I use it 24/7 of course!  Adding more cameras evey month when I can $$ them.  So I agree with the above posts. I have looked through the forums (first time) and didnt see this type of requests:
1. Motion triggered on multiple images of change 5-10 is good for me.
2. Motion triggered on the # of pixels size of change in the image.  This would filter our CATS/dogs, etc which trips my cams nightly.

This would be a huge help!

Thanks Again Stefan!  Awesome Job!
Rob
