Hi,
I have a use case that I would like to perform some real-time, periodic automated image analysis from a wifi spy camera.
Specifically, there is a region of interest in each photo that will have some text, and I would like to do scene detection and OCR to read this text.
Any high level recommendation on how to achieve this goal is desired.
It would be most amazing if this functionality was already available. Alternatively, can iCam periodically save a photo to the gallery or file system in some deterministic way?

The iCamSource currently saves images to the computer (and optionally to the cloud) when motion is detected in the image, when the difference between the previously captured image and the current image has change more than the threshold amount.

Hi Stefan, is it possible to configure iCamSource to automatically store images to an additional hard drive for backup purposes?

The iCamSource stores the recordings to a single folder on your computer. The iCamSource won't be able to store a copy of the images, but you can either use a cloud service like DropBox or our iCam Cloud Service (http://skjm.com/icam/help/cloud.php) to store a backup copy offsite.
