Title: Authorization Failure - Trendnet TV-IP851WIC
Post by: rtis1 on July 29, 2014, 10:19:52 AM
Hello,

I am trying to connect my Trendnet TV-IP851WIC to iCamSourcePro (v 1.0.2), but each time I receive the following error:

401 - Webcam Authorization Failure - Please make sure that the Camera Login and Password are correct and try again.

I am connecting to the camera through the network IP (192.168.1.150) and have tried all of the URLs suggested by the SKJM support page - i am confident the username and password are correct. Could anyone please shed some light on what the problem may be?

Thanks!

Are you able to view any of those MJPEG URLs via your web browser?

HI - thanks for your reply. Yes I can get in through Firefox with the following URLS:

http://192.168.1.149/video/mjpg.cgi
http://192.168.1.149/video.cgi
http://192.168.1.149/mjpeg.cgi

but when i use these with iCamSourcePro i still get the authorization failure error

Not sure if this makes a difference, but I seem to only be able to open the URL in Firefox. In IE 11, when I input the URL, the browser asks if I want to open or save the file - if i open it, it just keeps loading a file with an ever increasing file size, but nothing displays. In Chrome, after i input the username and password, nothing seems to happen.

Please email a screenshot of the iCamSource settings and a screenshot of Firefox that includes the video and the URL in the location bar to support@skjm.com (http://support@skjm.com), so we can attempt to look it up in the Broker Server logs and hopefully troubleshoot the problem. Also, please reference this forum post and your user name in your email.

Sorry for the delay - the camera will not let you delete the username or leave it blank. I was able to remove the password, but i received the same error in icamsource pro. It still works without problem in Firefox
