Title: Camera control on Android
Post by: Joseph on February 06, 2013, 03:24:29 PM
Hi!

I've been using iSpy on my iPad for a while now, and am hopelessly addicted to it. I've just bought the app from the Google Play store for my Nexus 7, but I can't find any button anywhere to allow camera control! I thought it would be in the same place it was on the iOS version (top right).

I'm probably just looking at it and not seeing it, if I am please put me right  ;D

Thanks!

Joseph.

I apologize for the delayed response.

If the camera supports remote control, the "Control" button should appear in the top right corner. However, the button will only appear if the camera supports PTZ controls.

Hi,

So supported cameras differ from iOS to Android? None of the cameras that I can control on iOS can be controlled on Android - not a single camera has the "Control" option! I'm going to try reinstalling the app now, hopefully that should sort it out!

I'll get back to you if I get stuck again!

No, the same cameras should be controllable on both platforms. If you do find a different, just let us know which camera(s) and we can look into it.

Hi,

Reinstalling the app and rebooting my device has made the "Control" option appear! How bizarre! Thank you for your support - if I do find any anomalies I'll let you know!

Thanks again for a great app!  ;D
