One of the features in the last version allowed me to hide iCam source once it had been started - my thoughts were this was a nice feature to help make sure folks that were accessing your computer or your home for that matter unlawfully would not be aware the camera was viewing them - this was selectable at the top tool bar on my MAC and unless I am doing something wrong is not available on the new version and I can't even minimize the iCam source window to get it of the screen - Also if I close iCam source by pressing the X close button on its window I can not restart unless I reboot my computer

Sorry I jumped the gun - there is a new iCam icon at the top right of my toolbar that when I close the window by pressing the X button on the iCam source window hides the screen and clicking preferences in the icons selection brings it back up - no need for a restart

can this icon at the top be hidden? my kids keep turing it off

There is currently no official method of hiding the iCamSource icon on your Mac.
An "unofficial" way would be to right-click the iCamSource application in your Applications folder, select Show Package Contents, then open the Contents > Resources folder and renaming or moving the iCamSourceStatus_Running.png file. Then, when you run the iCamSource and Start it, no icon will appear in the menu bar, although there will be a blank space still visible that you can click on to access the iCamSource.
