iCam in Latest iPhone TV Ads

Wednesday, April 8th, 2009

iCam made a “cameo appearance” in all three of the new iPhone TV Ads that premiered last night: “Itchy,” “Office,” and “Student.”

Here are some screen grabs from each one (click for full-size):

We had no idea iCam was going to be in an iPhone TV ad, let alone all three. Very cool, Apple! :)

Update – iCam 1.1 on App Store

Tuesday, February 17th, 2009

We received word this evening from Apple that iCam 1.1 has been approved for App Store release, so you can probably expect it to actually hit the App Store within the next 24 hours or so. :)

This release includes the much-requested sound support, and requires the running of the latest version (1.1) of the iCamSource software for both Mac and Windows.

If you have any issues with the latest updates, please drop us a line at and we will be more than happy to help you.

Thanks! :)

New Feature – iCamWeb

Thursday, February 5th, 2009

As was previously mentioned in this forum thread about being able to access your iCamSource from another computer instead of from your iPhone or iPod Touch, we have released a Beta version of what we are calling iCamWeb.

iCamWeb allows you to connect to your iCamSource(s) from most any modern, Java-enabled web browser from most any computer around the world. You can even share a link via e-mail, IM, etc., to allow other people to view your iCamSource(s) from their computers as well.

iCamWeb currently supports most any modern web browser (Safari, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera) running on most any modern operating system (Mac OS X, Windows XP/Vista, Ubuntu).

iCamWeb works by using a Signed Java Applet (click here if you need to download Java) to communicate with our iCam Broker Server and your iCamSource(s). You will need to “Run” or “Trust” the Applet when asked to allow it to communicate with our iCam Broker Server and your iCamSource(s).

iCamWeb is currently a free, ad-supported service that will hopefully be just what a number of our users have been looking for.

UPDATE : iCamWeb now supports Internet Explorer and is currently in Beta. :)

Coming Soon – iCam 1.1

Thursday, February 5th, 2009

We are happy to announce that we have submitted iCam 1.1 to Apple for App Store approval today, so hopefully it will be available within the next week or so.

Due to overwhelming demand, the major feature we have added is sound support, with new versions of the iCamSource to be released for both Mac and Windows when iCam 1.1 is released.

(And contrary to some of the App Store reviews, this hasn’t taken us 6 months to finish, especially since we only released iCam about 2 1/2 months ago.) ;)
